Panels Series - Rivets
This component creates a series of rectangular panels held together with rivets or screws.

Function Parameters
  Mapping This parameter controls the mapping of the texture. The possible mapping types are Planar, Cylindrical or Spherical.
Planar Cylindrical Spherical
  Sampling This parameter controls how the background and foreground colors, percentages and bumps are sampled. For normal sampling the linked component is simply sampled on a point by point basis. With Recenter selected each panel is used to recenter the sampling of the linked component. Finally, for Single, one sample is taken of the linked component and used for the whole of the panel. This is shown below:

  Horizontal Repeats This parameter controls the frequency of the texture in the horizontal axis. The larger this value the more times the pattern repeats and therefore the smaller it will be.
  Vertical Repeats This parameter controls the frequency of the texture in the vertical axis. The larger this value the more times the pattern repeats and therefore the smaller it will be.
  Panel Seed The parameter controls the seed for the random number generation used to disturb the panels.
  Rivets Seed The parameter controls the seed for the random number generation used for the distribution of the rivets.
Disturb Each riveted panel can be randomly shifted. This parameter controls how far they can move.
Distribution This parameter controls how many of the riveted panels are actually drawn.
Rivet Radius This parameter controls the radius of the rivets and is used in conjunction with the No. Of Rivets parameteter to determine the actual size of the rivets.
Bevel Width This parameter controls the width of the bevel used for each rivet.
Rivet Spacing This parameter controls the gap between the edge of the panel and the rivets.
  No Of Rivets This parameter sets the number of rivets running down each side of the panels.
Slot Width This parameter controls the width of the slot used to make the rivets appear like screws.
Rivet Distribution This parameter controls how many of the rivets/screws are actually drawn.
  Just Corners This parameter, when enabled, forces only the four corner rivets to be drawn.
  Add Uprights This parameter, when enabled, forces a line of vertical and a line horizontal rivets to be drawn across the center of each panel.
  Add Center This parameter, when enabled, forces a rivet to be drawn in the center of each panel.
  Add Diagonals This parameter, when enabled, forces two diagonals lines of rivets to be drawn corner to corner on each panel.
    Rivet Bevel Profile This link-only parameter controls the shape if the bevel used for the rivets. If it is unlinked the profile is a linear slope.
    Slot Profile This link-only parameter controls the shape the slots used when the Slow Width is greater than zero. If it is unlinked the profile is a linear slope.
Common Parameters
  Noise Magnitude
The Noise Magnitude controls the size of the Turbulence that is used to "stir" up the texture. As the Magnitude value is increased the amount by which the pattern is disturbed is increased.
  Noise Scale
The Noise Scale parameter controls the frequency of the turbulence, that is the periodic frequency. When the scale is at a high value the turbulence will be tight and crinkled and will become increasingly smoother as this parameter is decreased.
  Noise Octaves
The Noise Octaves parameter controls the number of times noise is summed in order to generate the turbulence. Turbulence is generated by summing noise with each summed noise being half the magnitude of the previously summed noise. The number of times the noise is summed is determined by octaves. So, at low values the turbulence will be smoother and will increase in detail (due to the fact that the summed noise is getting smaller) as the number of octaves is increased. All this basically means is that the turbulence becomes more "crinkled" as the number of octaves is increased.
Noise Omega
The Noise Omega parameter controls the granularity of the turbulence and is only used when it is non-zero. The higher the value the more granular the turbulence.
  Noise Velocity
The Noise Advection parameter controls the speed of the noise over the whole animation cycle. Basically, the higher this value the more active the noise is.
Noise Time
The flow noise can be animated by morphing the Time parameter.
  Blend Function This link only parameter controls the blend function used by the texture. By linking it to say a generator the profile of the blend can be altered.
Color Only Parameters
Low Color This parameter sets the start color for the texture pattern.
High Color This parameter sets the end color for the texture pattern.
Percentage Only Parameters
Low Percentage This parameter sets the start percentage for the texture pattern.
High Percentage This parameter sets the end percentage for the texture pattern.
Bump Only Parameters
Low Bump This parameter sets the start bump height for the texture pattern.
High Bump This parameter sets the end bump height for the texture pattern.
Bump Scale This parameter controls the overall scaling of the bump height. When it is positive it controls the height of the bumps and when negative it controls the depth of the pits.

Tweak This means the parameter can be tweaked.
Link This means the parameter can be linked.( = Can be randomized)
User This means the parameter can be controlled by the user.
